Who makes Hercules doors now.
Hercules is one of the door brands of Senneca, a Cincinnati company that also owns Chase Doors. Kingspan owned Hercules until October 2018, when it sold the business to Senneca.
Hercules lists four door types today: a bi-parting door, the Atlas horizontal sliding door, a vertical lift door and the Atlas cold storage infit door, which is hinged.
Each of those has a door we supply that closes the same opening.
What goes in a Hercules opening.
Bi-parting and horizontal sliding
One leaf or two, sliding along the wall. We replace it with a sliding door sized to the same opening and the same wall.
Sliding freezer doorsVertical lift
The door for an opening with no wall beside it. We replace it with a vertical-lift door of the same clear size.
Vertical-lift doorsInfit (hinged)
A swing door, single or double. We replace it with a swing door built to the opening.

A part, or a new door?
Send photographs of the door, its controls and any label, with the opening size and the room temperature. If the controls have failed and no part exists, a new door is the answer. Do not bypass the safety cutouts to keep the old one running. That is an OSHA violation.

Is D.W. Ross a Hercules door dealer?
No. We are not a Hercules dealer or distributor, and we have no connection to Hercules or Senneca. We supply comparable doors built to your opening.
Who owns Hercules doors?
Senneca, of Cincinnati, Ohio. Senneca bought Hercules from Kingspan in October 2018. It also owns Chase Doors.
Can you replace a Hercules freezer door?
Yes, with a comparable sliding, vertical-lift or swing door built to the same opening. Our crews install it, or we supply it material-only to your contractor.
Can you get parts for an old Hercules door?
Call and describe the part. On older doors, the controls can be impossible to source. When they are, we quote a replacement door built to the opening.
What do you need to quote a replacement?
The opening size and wall depth, the temperature on each side, the traffic and photographs of the old door and its label.
