FRP wall and ceiling panels for demanding interiors.
The ideal panel choice for any wall or ceiling that needs a high sanitary surface and low maintenance. Give us the application and we build the panel around it.
D.W. Ross supplies FRP; the contractor doing the work installs it.
Where this wall earns its keep.
The panel is the answer to a room, not a product to choose off a shelf. Tell us what the building does to its walls — water, salt, steam, a pressure washer, a dropped wrench — and the face, the core and the fixing follow from that.
Sheet and coil.
Sheet for walls and ceilings, coil where a continuous run avoids a seam. Moldings close the edges and the inside corners.
Contractors, builders and project buyers work with D.W. Ross out of 3195 West 63rd Street on Cleveland's west side. Material for Cleveland, Greater Cleveland and Northeast Ohio jobs is quoted, ordered and picked up or delivered from here.
15 colors, and the fire class decides which.
Embossed is the textured face most jobs use; smooth is the flatter one, and it runs in a shorter list. The rating the job is specified to is what narrows the palette — a corridor written for the higher class has 6 embossed colors to choose from rather than all of them. Worth knowing before anyone picks.

Not every color runs in every size, and the longer sheets are a custom order. Textured beige is one to ask about early: it does not run in the 9 ft length. Ask for the color and the size together and we will confirm both before anything is ordered.
Black and colored FRP, and where each color goes
Colors and finishes as published by Nudo, whose FRP D.W. Ross supplies. Names and numbers are theirs. Match any of them against a physical sample before you commit a room to it; ask us and we will send one.
Then the construction follows.
They differ in what sits behind the face and therefore in what you can fix them to. You do not have to arrive knowing which one you want. Give us the room, how it gets cleaned and what it is built of, and the panel follows from that.
Fiberglass reinforced plastic in sheet form, for interior rooms that get wet. New build or retrofit.
Troweled onto gypsum or plywood with an adhesive; also drops into a ceiling grid.
The same fiberglass face laminated to a fluted plastic core. Light, without giving up durability. Cuts with ordinary hand and power saws. The same skins also laminate to an aluminum honeycomb core where a job wants more stiffness for the weight.
Fixes to studs, ceiling joists or furring strips as well as solid surfaces; also a drop-in ceiling tile.
A scored face that reads as tile, with a topcoat sealing every groove. The look of tile with no grout line to fail.
As sheet, to a solid surface.
A fiberglass sheet factory-bonded to waferboard or plywood, so the panel brings its own backing.
Straight to studs, joists or furring strips; walls, ceilings and partitions.
A high-density polyethylene liner made from virgin material. Moisture resistance at a lower cost than fiberglass, in a white finish.
As a liner to a solid surface.
A high-density polyethylene face laminated to a substrate on one side or both, where the wall has to take scratching as well as water.
To studs, ceilings, floor joists, furring strips or solid walls and floors.
A panel job is finished at its edges.
We supply the moldings with the sheets — corners, division bars, caps and base — in the same color as the panel, or in aluminum where the corner takes a beating. The same profiles finish our laminated panel work.
Vinyl and PVC
Extruded vinyl moldings that close the joints, the corners and the top edge of a panel run. The color range matches the panel range, so the trim disappears into the wall instead of outlining it.

Base coverV-65Fourteen stock colors — white, black, pearl gray, dark gray, silver, blue, almond, bordeaux, khaki, brown, beige, red, pineapple and ivory, with white stocked in two shades. Each carries a color number, which is what an order desk wants. Special colors run against a minimum quantity, and custom lengths and profiles are available.
Profiles are published for panel thicknesses from .090 in. sheet up to 2 in. foam, so the same family finishes a thin retrofit sheet and a thick insulated panel.
Aluminum
The same profile logic in extruded aluminum, for runs that take knocks or sit where a vinyl edge would not last. Rated by the manufacturer for exterior as well as interior use.
Adjustable outside corner angle, 1 in. legsA-20Anodized or white, depending on the profile. A-28, A-30, A-32 and A-34 run anodized only; white in those carries a minimum order and a longer lead time.
Worth asking about wherever a corner gets hit: a loading bay, a wash-down aisle, a door reveal in a kitchen.

Every profile is drawn on the trim page, with what it fits and which one goes with your sheet thickness.

Color is confirmed against a physical chip, not a screen. Ask and we will send one.
Prefabricated full-core PVC skirting made from a food-grade PVC mass, with a sloped top and a coved foot that closes the wall-to-floor junction. The surface is smooth and continuous, so the corner washes down instead of holding soil, and prefabricated internal and external corners turn the detail without a site-built joint.
0.31 in. (8 mm) full core, the same material through the section. Matching prefabricated internal and external corners, 6.3 in. (160 mm) on each leg. White and light gray. Rated by the manufacturer for long exposure from -31°F to 158°F (-35°C to 70°C).
Food processing and packaging rooms, cold storage, wash-down aisles and clean rooms — anywhere the wall-to-floor corner has to be cleaned rather than scrubbed. It is bonded and sealed to both the floor and the wall, so it wants to be planned with the floor rather than added after it. Ask early.
UtiLite is not FRP.
It is a white tongue-and-groove PVC panel, 16 or 24 in. wide and up to 20 ft long, and it goes up with very few seams. It suits many of the same rooms: grow rooms, car washes, pole buildings.
How we make a laminated panel.
The substrate runs through a roller that lays the glue on at a precise thickness. With a moisture-cured urethane, the line then sprays moisture over the glue. The face goes on top, FRP or aluminum or whatever the panel calls for, and the panel sits in the press until the glue sets. The glue changes with the panel. This is our own shop, photographed decades ago and printed in black and white.
