Replacing a Hercules, Chase, Frank, ED or ASI cooler or freezer door.
Replacement doors for an opening that has a Hercules, Chase Doors, Frank Door, ED Door or ASI (Arthur Smith Industries) cooler or freezer door in it now, or a drawing that names one. We are not a dealer for any of these brands and have no connection to them. We supply comparable doors, built to the opening you have.
Installed by our crews, or supplied material-only to the contractor on the job.
We match the opening, not the badge.
A cooler or freezer door is built to its opening: the size, the wall it sits in and the temperature on each side. Those are what we match.
On an old door, parts are often the problem. Updated contactors with no wiring diagrams can be impossible to source, and at that point we quote a replacement.
What we need to match it.
The opening
Clear width and height, and the depth of the wall or jamb.
Temperature on both sides
Inside and outside the door. It decides the core and the heat at the seals.
Traffic
What goes through the opening, and how often it opens.
Wash-down
How often the room is washed down, and with what.
Air at the opening
The air velocity across it, if you know it.
The old door
Photographs of the door, its controls and any label on it.
Tell us when it has to be in.
Delivery differs from one maker and door type to the next. On a fast-track job the date can decide which door we propose, so give it to us at the start.
Questions buyers ask
Is D.W. Ross a Hercules, Chase, Frank, ED or ASI dealer?
No. We are not a dealer, distributor or partner for any of these brands, and have no connection to them. We supply comparable cooler and freezer doors, built to your opening.
Can you replace a Hercules, Chase or Frank freezer door?
Yes, with a comparable door built to the same opening. Our crews install it, or we supply it material-only to your contractor.
Can you get parts for an ED Door or ASI door?
Call and describe the part. On older doors, parts can be impossible to source, controls especially. When they are, we quote a replacement door built to the opening.
What do you need to quote a replacement?
The opening size and wall depth, the temperature on each side, the traffic, how often the room is washed down and photographs of the existing door. Drawings help but are not required to start.
