Gaskets and seals for Clark cooler and freezer doors.
Clark Door is out of business. For Clark cooler and freezer doors still in service, we can help with gaskets and seals. Controls are no longer available.
Gaskets and seals only. D.W. Ross has no connection to the former Clark Door company.
Before you replace the seal, find what is icing it.
A freezer door that ices up is not always a seal problem. Heat trace in the wrong place, a door out of plumb or rollers out of adjustment all show up as ice at the seal.
Check those first. A new gasket on a door that hangs wrong ices the same way.
The iced-up door checklist.
Heat trace
Find where it runs: in the frame, or on the back of the door.
Daylight at the seals
Close the door and look for light around the gasket. Light is a gap.
Stay rollers
Check their adjustment before ordering anything.
Plumb
A door out of plumb cannot close evenly on its seal.
Bi-parting seal
On a bi-parting door, the seal where the two leaves meet has to be airtight.
Controls are not available.
When a Clark door's controls fail, there are no parts to fix them with. Do not bypass the safety cutouts to keep it running: that is an OSHA violation, and a newer door will not allow it. We will quote a replacement door built to the opening.
Questions buyers ask
Can I still get parts for a Clark freezer door?
Gaskets and seals, yes. Call us or send photographs of the door and the failed seal. Controls, no: they are not available.
Is D.W. Ross connected to Clark Door?
No. Clark Door is out of business, and D.W. Ross has no connection to it. We help with gaskets and seals on Clark doors still in service.
The controls on my Clark door have failed. What now?
Replacement controls are not available. We look at the opening and quote a replacement door sized to it, installed by our crews or supplied material-only to your contractor.
What do you need to match a gasket?
Photographs of the whole door, a close photograph of the gasket where it has failed, and the door's width and height.
