GreenGuard GG25-LG
The general-purpose grade: 25 psi XPS for below-slab, cavity wall and foundation work where loads are moderate.
D.W. Ross supplies GreenGuard board for freezer and cold storage floors, and the grade is chosen with you against the slab, the load and the racking.

- Square or shiplap. Kingspan also lists a score board.

- R-5.0 per inch at 75°F mean temperature, ASTM C518 (based on 1 in. aged product).
- Thermal conductivity
- k-value 0.2 at 75°F mean temperature, ASTM C518.
- Water absorption
- 0.12% by volume, ASTM C272.
- Water vapor permeance
- 1.5 perm maximum, ASTM E96 desiccant method (for 1 in. board).
- Density
- 1.5 lb/ft³ minimum, ASTM C303.
- Service temperature
- 165°F maximum.
- Surface burning
- Flame spread 25 (Class A), smoke developed 140, ASTM E84 / UL 723.

Before you specify it
- From the data sheet: the board is combustible, and a protective or thermal barrier is required as specified in the building code. Kingspan does not recommend GreenGuard XPS for exterior walls over 6 stories, and asks that board left exposed outdoors be covered within 60 days against UV.
- From D.W. Ross: Freezer floors take non-scored board. The score board Kingspan lists is made to snap for foundation work, and it is not what goes under a freezer slab.
